VisTiO Coating Solution is being developed as a high-adhesion surface coating designed to support indoor air-quality improvement by reducing unpleasant VOC-related odors under everyday indoor-light conditions.
Product specifications and commercial launch details will be updated after further validation.
A laboratory-scale evaluation was conducted using a coated glass substrate under normal indoor-light conditions. The coated sample showed a clear decrease in formaldehyde concentration over time compared with the uncoated control sample.
Final HCHO concentration after 5 hours from an initial concentration of approximately 1 ppm under indoor-light conditions.
The evaluation was performed using a gas sampling bag and detector tube method to compare an uncoated glass substrate with a catalyst-binder coated glass substrate.
| Target gas | Formaldehyde (HCHO) |
|---|---|
| Initial concentration | Approximately 1 ppm |
| Substrate | Glass plate, 100 mm × 100 mm |
| Light condition | Normal indoor light, approximately 361 lux |
| Measurement method | Detector tube method |
| Sampling time | 0 h, 2 h, 5 h |
The uncoated control sample maintained an HCHO concentration of approximately 1 ppm, while the coated sample decreased to approximately 0.3 ppm after 2 hours and 0.1 ppm after 5 hours.
| Sample | 0 h | 2 h | 5 h |
|---|---|---|---|
| Uncoated glass | ~1.0 ppm | ~1.0 ppm | ~1.0 ppm |
| Coated glass | ~1.0 ppm | ~0.3 ppm | ~0.1 ppm |
VisTiO Coating Solution is currently under development. Performance data are being accumulated step by step before commercial release.
